While Boavista is considered to be one of Porto’s most upscale neighbourhoods, I think it’s also fair to point out that it is a bit devoid of traditional charm, in that it is a modern neighborhood with plenty of high-rise buildings and shopping centers.
If you’re looking for a more traditional or historic feel, I would strongly suggest that you look elsewhere.
